Solarina, the CWP’s subsidiary, organized a workshop „Eco Academics” for preschoolers and first-to-fourth-grade schoolers in Salaš, on the territory of the municipality of Zaječar. Preschoolers and first-to-fourth-grade schoolers of Jovan Jovanović Zmaj elementary school in Salaš underwent an educational and experiential program that brought them closer to topics regarding the environment, with encouragement to understand the importance of spending time in nature and strengthening their connection with it. This small school of ecology included workshops on the topic of bees, honey plants, and the flora and fauna of our regions. At the end of the workshop, every participant received a gift such as eco bags, books, and eco water bottles, as well as an „Eco Academic” diploma for their essential role as future environment keepers. The „Eco Academics” project encourages children to play more and to learn and acquire new pieces of knowledge and skills through play.
The workshops were organized in cooperation with the „Supernatural” association, the Belgrade Association of Beekeepers, and students of the Faculty of Biology in Belgrade.
